Too much spicy food can also disturb digestion as it can create a lot of heat in the stomach.

The bile secreted by the gall bladder also helps digestion so if the gall bladder is not functioning well the digestive system can suffer.

This is food for our spirit  not just our body and I firmly believe that this is one of the causes of disease that people stopped following their intuition and stopped eating seasonal food .

When I get back home from work I always sit for 10 minutes and tune in to see what my body desires. Meat, carbohydrate what flavours do I fancy and when it comes to me I go and cook it. We must eat slowly and be conscious of the time we spend at the table the more joy we have the more our body will digest it.
